Handmade Jewellery.
Made to last
Much of my jewellery work was produced in the years leading up to and during the pandemic after I left my job in the industry. I still produce new work on occasion but these days make more from titanium than anything else.
I was always a huge fantasy fan and even though I was trained in a very classical goldsmithing school, I always leaned more towards the contemporary art side of jewellery and have always been a fan of traditional Japanese metalworking. Because of this I tend to make bolder heavier work and even created my own language to add a flair of unknown culture.
After discovering Shibuichi (a japanese copper/silver alloy) I have ended up using it almost exclusively alongside sterling silver for my jewellery. I always enjoyed how shibuichi, being so heavy in copper (50% to 80%) would tarnish over time depending on your own chemistry. You should expect all shibuichi jewellery to change over time and some will develop verdigris.
Most of my work is not finished to a high polish and has been purposefully aged, this means that there will be the occasional ding and scratch. If you want a particular piece refinished to a high polish, scratch free finish just note it at checkout. (This will remove patina from Shibuichi)
New work will be sporadic, and commissions will be minimal as most of my focus is on knifemaking these days.
